Astonishing Pamukkale – Turkey

Pamukkale which means ‘Cotton Castle’ is a geological wonder. Calcium carbonate (from hot water springs)gets deposited as the white mineral rock on the surface. It then forms such snowy white calcium cascade travertines by flowing water. No wonder it is a UNESCO World Heritage site in Turkey.
