Spread the love

Aditi Ghosh

Durgapuja posts from friends, particularly Bengal, keep me glued to fb in these days. It gives me a feeling of festivities when far away ( not so far!) from home. I hear crackers here in Colombo when India wins the cricket match and during my drive, whichever radio station I tune to, I get to hear one Hindi song every half an hour. But not much hype for Durga puja. I learned that it started a few years back, then the group got divided and it died down. Am I surprised?

It is the usual working day for me here. MIL encouraged me this morning by reiterating ‘work is worship’. I indeed love my work. What I enjoy the most is traveling to project areas and getting in touch with the ground realities. And my den on this peaceful lakeside on the West Coast these days is my consolation prize.
