Majnu ka Tilla

Majnu ka Tilla (the new Aruna Nagar Tibetan Market) is one of the many hidden gems of Delhi. A small yet vibrant community of Tibetan people- most families are refugees. They have created such a beautiful Tibetan vibe here and gifted the city with new cuisine. The place has a magic charm and a community feelings. Suppose you are not fussy or get inhibited by narrow street alleys ( what Rajesh actually felt unfortunate!). In that case, it is an excellent place to explore a wide range of Tibetan( also some Nepali, Korean and continental) foods, drinks and aesthetics.
You can indulge your inner shopaholic with some retail therapy with beautiful accessories, handicrafts, tapestries, shawl, jackets and shoes (at a reasonable price). Finding a good parking spot here can be an issue. I would like to recommend the yellow line to Vidhan Sabha metro station and take an e-rickshaw to MKT from there (for about INR 20). If it is not you, take uber-ola. I heard it gets surprisingly busy during the weekend. I could see more people coming in when we were about to leave by 1.30 pm today. I’ve never been to Tibet, but these shops and food reminded me of my days in Nepal.
