Spread the love

Sri Lanka is more than its renowned beaches. Nuwara Eliya in the central highland is one of my favourite places in Sri Lanka. This time Rajesh also joined me to spend the long Holi weekend (missed the Holi in India though). The lush green rolling hills, tea plantation, terraced cultivation, lakes and numerous waterfalls- are all you can have in one frame here. Its picturesque landscape and high altitude temperate climate make it the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate.

This time we are in Ramboda – a quiet and tiny hamlet a few km away from Nuwara Eliya town. Not only we can see but also hear the gushing sound of Ramboda falling from our balcony on the left whereas a calm lake on the right. And in between clouds and hills are playing hide and seek. The magnificent view accompanies you wherever you are in this hotel including a washroom. Spotting the waterfalls or birds will make your time fly over a few cups of fresh brew cyclone tea overlooking the tea plantation. And in my dream I see myself picking tea leaves with a basket at my back navigating multiple terraces.
